The photographs collected here, taken since March 2009, have been indexed primarily by topic and secondarily by region.
The topics include animals, bars, boats, buildings, flowers, graffiti, hiking, landscapes (beaches, islands, lakes, mountains, trees, waterfalls), murals, people (picnics, happenings, fly-fishing, skiing, windgliding, windsurfing, children playing, elections, marketplace), piers, traffic signs, and totems.
The regions include my hometown Kuopio, Finland, and the Americas: British Columbia, Canada, Quintana Roo, Mexico, and New Mexico, United States, in the North, and Argentine and Chilean Patagonia in the South.
For example, the photo on the right, a detail of the façade of hotel Loretto, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, belongs to the group buildings in New Mexico, while the photo on the left, a cabin on the shore of Lago Todos los Santos (All Saints' Lake) in Petrohué, the Chilean lake region (Región de Los Lagos), belongs to three groups: buildings, lakes and trees in Chile.
The photographs are 573 pixels high in order to fit on a laptop screen. They are also available in full size.
